Eight wedding invitation templates — from floral to editorial
Every template follows the same rule: your names lead, the details stay quiet, and nothing fights the typography.
Floral
Garden, Wildflower and Laurel wrap your names in watercolor botanicals — the soft, organic look couples searching for wedding invitations with floral design fall for.
Classic
Classic Ivory, Arch and Calligraphy lean on timeless stationery typography: hairline frames, quiet capitals and a flowing script for your names.
Editorial
Editorial and Deco are for modern weddings — an ink-black ground, geometric ornaments and confident type that looks straight out of a magazine.
What goes in a wedding invitation suite?
A suite is everything that travels in the envelope together. Here’s the classic checklist:
Invitation card
The main 5×7″ card with your names, date and venue — the one you design above.
RSVP card
A small reply card with a deadline — or simply a link or QR code so guests can reply online.
Details card
Accommodation, directions, timings and the dress code — everything that doesn’t belong on the invitation itself.
Envelope & addressing
Hand-written guest names feel the most personal; save printed labels for the return address.
Finishing touches
A belly band, wax seal or silk ribbon turns a stack of cards into a keepsake.
Photo-sharing card
The piece most couples forget: a card that tells guests how to share the photos they take — one QR code collects them all.

Printing DIY wedding invitations at home
Your download is print-ready. Four things that make DIY invitations look professionally made:
Choose a heavy card stock
Choose a card stock your printer can feed reliably. Check the manufacturer’s supported weights first; a heavy paper that feels good is only useful if it prints cleanly.
Print at true size
Print the 5×7″ PDF at 100% scale — never “fit to page” — so the margins stay exactly as designed.
Pair with A7 envelopes
A 5×7″ invitation slides perfectly into an A7 envelope (5¼ × 7¼″) with room left for an RSVP card.
Proof one before fifty
Print a single copy, check the colours and margins in daylight, then run the batch — or hand the PDF to a local print shop.
Before you print your DIY wedding invitations
Finish the wording first, then choose a file for the way you will use the invitation. The generator exports a single-sided design; paper, envelopes and printing are separate.
Wedding invitation PDF or PNG?
- PDF: single card or print sheet
- Choose one 5 × 7-inch card or two full-size invitations on landscape A4 or US Letter paper with cutting guides. Print at 100% or actual size. The artwork is an embedded image, not an editable vector file; no bleed is added.
- High-resolution PNG
- Choose PNG for a digital image, a layout in another editor or a printer that accepts image files. Set the intended print size separately. A PNG does not contain clickable RSVP links.
A printing checklist that avoids a wasted batch

Confirm names and essential details
Proofread both names, the date, time, venue and town. Add an RSVP deadline and contact method if you want replies; collecting those replies is a separate task.
Ask what your printer needs
Check supported paper size and card-stock weight before buying paper. A4 and US Letter sheets include cutting guides; the single-card PDF has none. No layout adds bleed, so ask your print shop what it needs.
Print and measure one copy
Turn off fit-to-page, confirm that each invitation measures 5 × 7 inches (127 × 177.8 mm), and inspect contrast and small type in daylight. Approve one proof before printing the full quantity.
Need a digital invitation with a reply link or QR code? Use the separate RSVP invitation maker. This print generator creates the stationery file and does not track guest replies.
Wedding invitation questions, answered
Everything couples ask while designing and sending their invitations.
When should you send out wedding invitations?
Send wedding invitations 6–8 weeks before the wedding — or 10–12 weeks for a destination wedding so guests can book travel. Save-the-dates go out much earlier, around 6–8 months ahead.
How do you address wedding invitations?
Write guest names in full on the outer envelope (“Emily Carter and Daniel Lee”, not “Emily + Dan”) and name every invited person — that’s also how you signal whether children or plus-ones are included. Hand-written names feel the most personal.
What should a wedding invitation say?
Six things: who’s hosting, your names, the request line, the date and time, the venue and city, and what follows — reception, dinner, dancing. The wording styles above cover the classic and modern ways to phrase all of it.
What size is a standard wedding invitation?
Each invitation is 5 × 7 inches (127 × 177.8 mm). Choose a single-card PDF or two full-size invitations on an A4 or US Letter sheet. Print at 100% or actual size and measure one proof before printing the full set.
What is a wedding invitation suite?
The full set of stationery mailed together: the invitation, RSVP card, details card and envelope, plus finishing touches like a wax seal or ribbon. The checklist above walks through what each piece does.
Is this invitation generator really free?
Yes — completely. No account, no watermark, no paid tier. We make camera.wedding, the QR photo album for weddings, and this tool is our way of being useful a little earlier in your planning.
Should I download wedding invitations as PDF or PNG?
Use the 5×7-inch PDF when you want a fixed page size for printing. Use PNG for a digital image or a layout in another editor, and set its print size yourself. Neither download tracks replies, and a PNG does not contain clickable links.
Do the invitation files include bleed and crop marks?
A4 and US Letter sheet PDFs include cutting guides. The single-card PDF has no cutting guides, and none of the layouts adds bleed. Ask your print shop about its paper, bleed and colour requirements before ordering a batch.
Still have a question?
Message usCards as lovely as the rest of your stationery
Choose a design, add your names, and print beautiful cards your guests will actually scan. Each design comes paired with the font that suits it best — keep it, or make it your own.
