From watercolor to greenery: floral invitation styles that print beautifully
The florals set the mood of your whole stationery suite before anyone reads a word. These are the four directions our botanical templates are built around — and how to make each one yours.
Watercolor florals
Soft pigment edges and muted petals — the most-loved floral invitation style because it photographs like fine stationery even from a home printer. Our Garden template is pure watercolor.
Greenery and eucalyptus
Leaves instead of blooms: laurel, olive and eucalyptus read elegant and work with any color scheme — including dusty blue and sage weddings. That restraint is the Laurel template.
Boho and rustic
Pampas grass, dried wheat and wildflowers in warm neutrals — made for barn venues, outdoor ceremonies and kraft-paper envelopes. The Wildflower template lives here.

Matching the florals to your wedding season
Guests read the season off the invitation before they read the date. A quick guide to steering the botanicals:
Spring
Soft pinks, blush and fresh greens — watercolor garden blooms like our Garden template feel exactly like an April or May wedding.
Summer
Brighter blooms and full greenery. Pair the Garden or Laurel template with a crisp white or pale sage envelope.
Fall
Dried botanicals own autumn: pampas, wheat and rust-toned wildflowers — the Wildflower template was painted for fall weddings.
Winter
Strip back to evergreen and laurel with plenty of cream space. The Laurel wreath on heavy cotton paper reads quietly festive, never kitsch.

The three botanical templates are painted in warm, muted neutrals — cream, sage, terracotta and gold — so they sit naturally alongside almost any palette, from dusty blue to burgundy. Pick the template whose mood matches, then let your envelope and ribbon carry the exact color.
Which floral design fits a rustic or boho wedding?
Wildflower — its dried pampas grass, wheat and meadow flowers are the signature of boho and rustic stationery. Print it on textured or kraft-toned paper to push the effect further.
What paper should I print floral invitations on?
Matte cotton or felt-textured cardstock around 250–300 gsm. Watercolor artwork loves uncoated paper — glossy stock makes the soft edges look like a photo print instead of stationery.
Can I change the wording on a floral template?
